Getting approved for the NDIS To become eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you must first meet the access requirements. These requirements are: -You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a protected special category visa -You must live in Australia and be aged between 1 and 65 years old -You must have a significant and permanent disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities OR you must have early intervention needs due to a developmental delay.
